Video games versus other media:

Why don't they understand?
This article goes about saying that young males now spend more $ on video games than on music. Dude, that's 'cuz it's still too hard to burn a Playstation2 game. I don't have a mod chip in my PS2, but I sure have the capabilities to rip a CD into mp3. So riddle me this batman, why is this info news? The video game industry is selling 'cuz it's always on the crest of technology. If original Nintendo was the current platform, then it too would be losing money 'cuz all the new games would be available in emulators via the internet most probably three days before it's official release date. Duh!

Happiness is like a butterfly which when pursued is always just beyond your grasp but which, if you will sit quietly, may alight upon you.

Ok, I know, but here's straight from the article: "A chemical in cannabis can help ward off strokes and heart disease, scientists believe."

Puerto Rico, where's the WiFi at? Yet another state wants to give the WiFi to the people!
From the
article : "Sege said Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Arvada, Golden, Thornton and Aurora are considering their own networks. He said it costs about $600,000 for the average city of 16 square miles to buy the equipment, and service can be provided for as low as $16 a month. The antennas can be mounted on light poles and city owned property, cutting costs. Cities can also use the equipment to install cameras to monitor neighborhoods."
