Puerto Rico Points of Interest

Tuesday, October 09, 2007

There is no reason for anyone to ever state that Puerto Rico is not the USA. I am a citizen of the greatest country, the USA, and no one has a right to them me otherwise.

TK Support,

Puerto Rico is the United States. I live in Puerto Rico, and the United States postal service is here, since we are part of the USA. I have a zip code in my address and there is no 3271 miles distance between Puerto Rico and the USA, since we are in fact the USA.

Please fix your website to work properly like such websites as Amazon.com and ebay.com who understand the dynamics of Puerto Rico.

Thank you,
Braulio

TK Support,

That last statement is so wrong in so many ways that I will in fact be blogging this whole email chain. Thank you for maintaining ignorance in the free world.

I tried buying something from my iTunes store and I couldn't because the state field in the billing address was unable to process Puerto Rico. C'mon, would it hurt Apple to throw a shipping address to Puerto Rico on FedEx or UPS? I mean, we don't need an Apple store, but if I can buy mp3s from iTunes why shouldn't Apple ship to me? 'Cuz I don't live in a state? Is this the 15th century? I live in the United States.. it's just not fair....

Heinz Commercial: Alternative Fuel

yeah baby!! whats sweeter than the heinz???

So, ten day later and what have I learned? Well that the police can locate a stolen car for starters. My jeep was found in the outerskirts of Bayamon/Toa Baja on Friday. Less than 24 hours passed. Of course the Jeep was missing parts and so on... but Jeep will ride again...

and i just got back from a commercial shoot. this time i got to play the part of an extra. funny the dynamics of the human experience. we are passionate animals, eh? needless to say it was for the most part painless and fun, and yes, i met people, and yes, some of them beautiful..

all in all this island aint half bad. hey, for those of your outside the fraggle cave, check out Rexville shopping plaza. To build it the contractors dug an enormous hole in a mountain. i swear. there's this awesome retention wall there, about 100 feet. its worth seeing, and possibly even worth rappelling, and for the nutz, attempting to climb.

buenas noches my silent readers. i imagine you peering thru monochrome screens in a somewhat less than fantastic future, a future of hope and diligence, not of the indulgence i know. i consume far too much. my society is careless. but somehow i expect my knowledge, my typed thought, to somehow make it far into the past (uh, in your case, future) and reach your living eyes. its like the stars i see. their light traveled time to reach me, living here in the present on this planet. thank you fearless orbs of light whom brillantly shone thru eons of distance to add a sutle nitelite affect to my planet's sky. i know for a fact that not all the universe is like our sliver.

moving on, times are crazy. people speak like impending doom is upon us here. the whole island will be underwater with enough global warming one person said to me today, they just hoped they won't be alive for it (ie not to happen in the next 80 years let's say). shame, that we can destroy as long as we dont suffer consequences.

good nite my friends. goodnite jeep. goodnite tyson. goodnite brother and goodnite sister, goodnite dad, and goodnite mom.

well it finally happened, just a matter of time. seems like someone on this island thought it would be a swell idea to take my jeep for a joy ride. my car is stolen. gone, missing, and the worst part is that my sister's dog was in the car when they took it. i hope dante is okay. he is an amazing dog.

Gone to church for my niece's ceremony. This is the church at the plaza for the town of Humacao. Each town has its town plaza, each unique and different. Over 75 towns exist on this little isle. One could spend a lifetime visiting each plaza....

Here's my friend Idalys's blog. She's beautiful, huh?

Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking on this island, but this just ain't right. If anyone knows what to do to get this fixed let me know... thanks.

Recently there has been an large tourist interest here for the island. I love the people who try to find the unmarked places to go, such as the farmer's market in Santurce which has lovely stands with people more than willing to explain each tropical fruit and vegetable and how to prepare them. Also even in hotels people will often over look a bar hidden away in a corner that offers a terrific view and great food, such as the LemonGrass at the Caribe Hilton.
I've been here in Puerto Rico for over 4 years now and I'm starting to understand the value of having a native's perspective into our happenings here. I know the good restaurants, the fun things to do, the cool hotels, the lovely beaches, and so on. Either way, I will make an effort to post about these hidden gems here on the island. Email me with any questions about Puerto Rico!
